Ringworm On Testacles

Jesus took the initiative

When Jesus arrived at the gates of the town of Nain, accompanied by his disciples and many people, he was presented with a harrowing scene. A group of people is leading to the cemetery the body of a boy. His Mom is a widow. Walk supported by someone is surrounded by friends, but "inside" is horribly alone. Her son, her only, also leads to bury any hope of moral and material support, comfort and help, every reason to live.

Widows, at that time, had no survivors' pensions, aid, mutual societies. Remained absolutely without support and were at the mercy of relatives and friends. The widow of Nain, and his son, had lost everything.

The Gospel of Luke does not say, but we can imagine that the procession rose cries of pain and sorrow, as they used to do at that time and often do we see today. The poor mother singhozzava.

Jesus approaches and tells a strange word: "Do not cry!" . How could he not cry? The loss of a child is always terrible. And if it joins a desperate situation, as not to cry?

But Jesus was not insensitive. Rather he felt for that mother a great pity. A feeling of understanding that was done, suffering, sorrow, pity and tenderness before the tragedy of death. Death is the result of sin. Was not planned by God at creation. Was caused by the disobedience of Adam and Eve and every living thing bears and suffers the consequences.

Prophetically, telling her not to cry, Jesus would say to the mother the reality of the victory that would have given over sin, and that was the purpose of his coming to earth. He wanted to proclaim to all that death would be swallowed up in victory. And maybe he also wanted to make her understand that her grief would turn to joy.

The mother does not understand. It says nothing. Jesus stops the procession, touches the coffin and then turns toward the lifeless body. "Boy, I tell you, arise!"

The body moves, the boy sits down and talks! General amazement.

Jesus delivers him to his mother. It makes no speeches, no self-proclaimed as the Messiah and not advertising. Quite a difference from the modern healers!

Then, continues on his way.

The crowd is silenced by fear, fear and amazement. One thing that was not more successful when Elijah and Elisha had raised two other boys, many centuries before. Someone exclaims "A great prophet has arisen among us!" .

But Jesus was much bigger than a prophet, was God!

The story ends here. We can imagine the joy of his mother, who became the talk in the country, the comments of the people. We do not know if the woman and the boy have become followers of Jesus I hope so.

one that stands out above all the compassion of Jesus that the miracle did not the state is required, but that He has made it to rescue a woman in great pain and without hope, proves his infinite love. It shows us his heart full of tenderness.

is he who has taken the initiative to help the widow. It is he who has also taken the initiative in our salvation, who takes the initiative in looking for us and draw us to himself. In practice, even after we became his children, God sees our needs and intervenes. His promise is that we will never be tested beyond our strength and that in the trials and difficulties will be with us. He knows what we need.

you, do you believe?
